About us

Who we are and why you can trust us

Awe Reads (also written "Awereads") is an editorial team that explains complex things in plain language. We analyze real-life situations, research and technology, and help you find clear, practical answers.

Our principles

  • Clear and to the point. No jargon, no fluff.
  • Facts over emotions. No hype - verified information only.
  • Reader value. Every piece helps you understand.
  • Honesty and relevance. We keep our articles up to date.

Editorial policy

Content is produced by authors and editors experienced in their fields. Before publishing, each article goes through fact-checking and moderation. We credit authorship and update texts as new data emerges.

Privacy policy

We collect the minimum data needed to run the site: your account (e-mail, username) and anonymized view statistics. We do not sell your data to third parties. For data questions, contact the email below.

Platform founder

Awe Reads was founded and built by Viktor Kravchenko, a full-stack developer from Kazakhstan with 5+ years of experience and 200+ delivered projects. He is responsible for the platform's architecture, design and technical foundation - from the backend and SEO infrastructure to the user interface.

Awe Reads is a solo project - one person writes the code, designs the features and runs the infrastructure. That is a deliberate choice: decisions ship fast, with no committee, and the platform evolves based on reader feedback rather than an internal editorial roadmap.

Platform features

Awe Reads is more than an article feed. Here is what makes reading here more useful.

  • Text annotations. Select any passage in an article with your mouse or finger and an "Add note" button appears. The note is visible to every reader of that article for 24 hours, and anyone can reply. Works without an account.
  • RU/EN - parallel content, not translation. The Russian and English versions of an article are written and updated independently, not machine-translated from one another.
  • Bookmarks and reading history. Save articles for later and pick up where you left off in the Bookmarks and History sections.
  • Glossary of terms. Concepts from our articles - psychology, finance, health, technology - explained in plain words in one place.
  • Likes and reactions without an account. React to an article right away, no sign-up needed - your device remembers your reaction.
  • Telegram and email digest. Optionally get notified about new articles in whichever channel you prefer.
